I want to improve my rankings in Google. Rumor is Google ranks the text inside anchor tags from foreign sites very highly. As of today my resume at scguild.com is the first on Google if you search for ‘nate murray‘ and this site is also first if there is no space: (natemurray)
So here’s the plan: if you have a website, myspace etc. just paste this code in your site.
Here’s a link to my friend

I got this great book at Jamba on how to make juice and I was really excited about it, but it turned out that you couldn’t even juice citrus very well. So I returned it. Besides you can get them refurbished only for half-price. Check Froogle.
On a more interesting note: we bought a condo! We looked at it a week ago Sunday, we made an offer on Monday and they accepted on Tuesday. Escrow closes on the 28th. We’ll post some pictures once we get some.

I’m getting sick. A woman I work with gave it to me. Got to love community work spaces where the germs fly free from host to host. Strange how the little devils get from one person to the next. I think its because of all the paper work that goes to and from my desk, and all the hands that it touches. Kind of gross when you really stop and think of it. Well, sick coworker has been sick for five days now, so who knows how long this will last. I guess I’ll just board up my windows and ride it out. There’s really no evacuation plan for Cold Season victims. Nasal Drip Rita is on her way, so I’ll just hunker down and hope for the best. -Ashley

I’ve been working with CSS a lot. Hopefully I’ll be able to update this site to be table-free. There are some beautiful sites linked by CSS Beauty you might enjoy viewing.
We’re going to Charlie-O’s tonight.
Maybe I should get a digital camera so I can spice this site up. I haven’t been exercising enough lately, so I should do that too.

Sorry there haven’t been a lot of updates lately. I’ve been working a lot. Ash and I have been looking to buy a house, so we’ll see how that goes.
Since you’re here I’ll point you to three places that are more interesting:
Right Angle Sidewalk Chalk Art
Ant and Aardvark (I used to love this cartoon)
Actually I can’t think of a third so you will have to look at these ones.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was a disappointment. Tim Burton’s new film is over-the-top, yet at the same time manages to achieve little distinction from other Hollywood popcorn films. Burton, like George Lucas, has achieve such mainstream success that he seems to have been given complete creative control, which is not always a good thing. For example, Burton’s oddities and awkward timing are best seen in the semi-humorous lines given to Willy Wonka. (Thank you, Tim. By now we all know you have serious issues with your father.) Speaking of Wonka, Johnny Depp’s rendition of the neurotic chocolate monger shows freakish resemblance to a retainer-wearing Michael Jackson mixed with Carol Channing ( or try a .mov ).
If Burton’s awkward style were consistent throughout the film we could praise him for his CalArtian artistic genius, however combined with the cheap slapstick laughs and disco-dancing Oompah-Loompahs the film reeks of the standard Hollywood formula of “Popular Stars + Low Brow Humor = Big Profits”. It’s appears that Burton is backpedaling to his old ideas and marketing to the main stream. Even his new film The Corpse Bride seems to be little more than another vehicle to sell t-shirts at Hot Topic.
There seems little doubt that Burton’s best work is behind him.

Hey there my loyal friends, I want to announce the opening of the natemurray.com bulletin board! I haven’t exactly decided what we are going to use it for just yet, but I’ve prepared for that by creating a forum for forum suggestions. Also I’ve created a sample user group for our college friends. If you have any other ideas for user groups just drop a suggestion in the forums.
The 80×13 buttons a really popular right now. Here is a cool button maker, if you’re interested.
Yes, the New York pictures are coming! In addition you can look forward to my reviews of some recent movies and music.

I saw a crazy old UPS man flag down a fireman on the freeway today. His long white beard was waving almost as wildly as his arms. His brown truck was puffing blue smoke. I wonder if he called 911 or just had a stroke of good luck.

Thats right folks, I got a new job. I now am a junior-level programmer at CPO Commerce programming Perl/MySQL etc. I’m helping work on their many websites including CPOWorkshop.com CPOTools.com and CPOElectrolux.com. The camera store was nice while I was in school, but I’m glad to move on to my career. My last day is just before we go to NYC and I start working at CPO full-time as soon as we get back.
I discovered a new optical illusion this weekend: a paper dragon who’s head follows you around the room. It’s pretty amazing. You can download the jpg to make your own here, or watch the video here.

I read on slashdot today that Sirius is talking to Apple about putting XRM into iPods. I wonder how long it will be before I can have a audio/video recording and playing iPod. Just think: you strap it around your neck and record for a few hours. Combine that video recording with some podcasting and the ultimate reality TV can be broadcast to the world. I’d setup an automator workflow and then when I put my iPod Video on its dock my video is burned onto DVD (Blu-Ray?). (A new chapter is automatically created from the snapshot on each hour, perhaps?) It would be Andy Warhol’s dream come true: then we can all be recording machines.
If these guys installed podzilla on this XRM iPod maybe someone would develop a traveling XRM ripping app.
Or maybe some XRM editors would pick out a few audio podcasts and broadcast them back over to all other XRM users on an all-podcast channel.

I’m starting to write my autobiography. It’s interesting, I find that I really remember very little from my childhood. When I try to place an age on each of my early childhood memories I always refer to it as ‘when I was seven.’ My Jr. High memories as when I was twelve or thirteen. There is a little bit of accuracy once I get to be a teenager because then I started going to a school that had other people. But compared to the massive amounts of events in that time period I still can remember very little.
I think I need to discover some childhood-memory-generating heuristic devices. Any suggestions?
